KARAKIA
Tuhia ki te rangi
Write it in the sky
Tuhia ki te whenua
Write it in the land
Tuhia ki te ngakau o nga tangata
Write it in the heart of the people
Ko te mea nui
The greatest thing
Ko te aroha
Is love
Tihei Mauri Ora!
Behold there is Life!

Call to worshiP

Where is the room,
Where is the house of Christmas?
Where shall we welcome Jesus,
Where are the signs of home?
Where are the signs of home?

Let there be room,
Room for the friend and stranger,
Room without hurt or anger,
Room for whoever come,
Room for whoever come.

PROCESSIONAL HYMN:  AA 28 Come to this Christmas singing!

Haere Mai
by Joy Cowley
Kia ora, my friend. Welcome.
You bring great honour to my house
and a blessing to my whanau.
Come in, spend time with us
and we will talk, You and I
of good things.
You know, when I was young
I had a picture of you in my head,
a young Jewish man in a long robe,
and that is true, my friend, that is true,
but you grew with me over the years
and now I know that your whakapapa
belongs as much here as over there
or anywhere else.
You are one of our people,
one with the mountains,
one with this land.
Haere mai e Hehu Karaiti
Welcome, Christ Jesus,
this is your home.

LORD'S PRAYER
(From North India, written at a children’s camp)
Dearest God who lives in heaven
may your name be kept pure.
Let peace reign and everyone be equal
on earth as in heaven.
Provide us with our daily needs
as well as our spiritual needs.
Please forgive us the things we have done wrong
as we will forget the bad things
others have done to us
Because you made the earth and heaven and everything in it
and you are all powerful
and we should give you glory
through all eternity.  Amen.
